Hospital Administrator, Jary Ganske, opened the ceremony saying, “We’re excited to expand services in Ellis County. The opening of the facility, which include the Methodist Family Health Center and the Midlothian Independent School District Care Clinic, is just a part of our overall plans here in the Midlothian Community. We’re also thrilled to have Texas Oncology here as a part of the facility.”

The crowd also heard from Methodist Health President, Dr. George Williams and other key individuals associated with the hard work of getting the hospital located here and the opening of their professional building including Vice President of Operations, Stephanie Sturgin and retired employee, Donna Crimmins-Bonnell.

Both inpatient and outpatient care will now be in one central location on the Methodist Midlothian Medical Center campus giving Midlothian residents convenient access to all levels of healthcare. Mr. Ganske noted they looked forward to bringing additional physicians to the facility in the future.

The Midlothian Chamber of Commerce President, Laura Terhune, welcomed Ms. Sturgin and the Methodist Family Health Center team to the new facility as she presented their Chamber membership plaque. Ms. Terhune noted, “We are extremely proud to welcome the medical group to our Chamber family. The Chamber was formed in 1936 in the midst of the Depression. The businesses joined together to support each other through the difficult times. And we’ve done that this last year and there will be times when we celebrate and there will be times when we all pull together. We hope you will display this plaque proudly and know that you too are now a part of the business community helping to support, encourage, and promote the businesses in Midlothian.”
