|To Our Clients, Friends and Colleagues:
Since Carrington, Coleman, Sloman & Blumenthal, LLP opened in 1970, our attorneys and staff have worked hard to earn your respect by delivering excellence with the highest standards of integrity and professionalism. Those core values have been our bedrock for the last 50 years, helping us thrive in a highly competitive legal marketplace.
Now, as we celebrate our 50th anniversary and look toward the next half-century, we are particularly pleased that our founder Jim Coleman, a nationally renowned trial lawyer who has received the profession’s highest honors, is celebrating this milestone with us. We would also like to honor John Andrew Martin, a member of the firm since its inception and my own supervising partner when I joined the firm, who passed away last year. John continued to serve the firm as a trusted advisor and friend even after his retirement in 2014.
Carrington Coleman has stood the test of time, and I attribute our strength to the opportunities our clients have given us to represent them in some of the most challenging legal issues over the last half century. I am fortunate to have practiced law with the many fine attorneys who have walked through our doors over the decades. In just the last year alone, we expanded our corporate practice with the addition of partners Bruce Hendrick and George Lee, and the promotion of Laura Hebert to the partnership. We also welcomed litigation partner Jason Katz, whose practice also includes bankruptcy, receivership and insolvency; Ashley McMillan in the estate planning practice; and corporate associate Andrea Perez, real estate associates John Stevenson and Ted Harrington, and litigation associate Tyler Wright.
We are honored to represent so many of you in important and complicated matters both in the deal room and at the courthouse. And we appreciate the recognition our attorneys continue to garner from a wide variety of national, regional and local publications and organizations.
On a personal note, I am pleased to pass the title of Managing Partner to my colleague and friend Monica Latin, who was unanimously selected to lead the firm as its fifth managing partner beginning May 1. The firm will be in good hands as it begins its next 50 years.
Over the next several months, Carrington Coleman will celebrate its past, present, and future with a series of events and initiatives that highlight the firm’s history and culture. They will be featured on the firm’s News page, its LinkedIn page, and its Twitter feed, with the hashtag #CCSBturns50.
On behalf of the firm, I hope you will join us in celebrating the start of our second 50 years with deep appreciation for our history and great enthusiasm for our future.
