  • litter clean up projects,

  • youth awareness programs,

  • beautification awards and recognition for businesses and individual homeowners,

  • educational programs for youth groups, businesses, and local officials,

  • implementation of beautification and conservation projects,

  • Recycling programs.

We participate in several statewide and national programs such as Texas Recycles Day, Adopt-a-Highway, Texas Trash Off, Illegal Dumping Campaign, Lake & River Clean Up, and the Great American Clean Up.

Keep Midlothian Beautiful shares, and adheres to, the Keep Texas Beautiful vision and mission:  “to empower Texans through education to take responsibility for enhancing their community environment.”  We take that mission seriously.  Keep Midlothian Beautiful is a volunteer group of individuals that truly care about the community they live in and in which they conduct their business.

The Midlothian Chamber of Commerce’s Beautification Committee held its first official Shop Day for the Teachers Treasure Warehouse May 15, 2006.  More than 100 teachers shopped for items to use in their classrooms.

“This was a great turnout,” said Jamey Guarascio-Cosper, coordinator for the Chamber of Commerce.  “This was a wonderful opportunity for businesses to partner with the schools to help teachers stock their classrooms.”
