Events and Activities

Events and activities are the lifeblood of the Chamber of Commerce.  Members are encouraged to take part in Chamber activities, both as committee members and attendees.  Click the link for more info on each event.

Awards Banquet The Banquet takes a look back at the past year and awards outstanding contributions of Chamber members.  We take this opportunity to evaluate our accomplishments and progress to better outline our goals and objectives for the upcoming year.

Business Expo Our annual Business Exposition provides a great opportunity for local businesses to network and get their name out to the business community.

Easter Egg Hunt Our annual Easter Egg Hunt is always a hit with the youngest residents of Midlothian and a visit from the Easter Bunny is a crowd pleaser.

Spring Fling Held on the 2nd  Saturday in May, this event offers arts & crafts, food, and entertainment--something for everyone.

Golf Tournament Held every year on the 2nd Thursday in May, this golf tournament serves as a major fundraiser for the Chamber.

Auction

Held every year in September, the Annual Auction is a major fundraiser for the Chamber.  Each year's event has a special theme, entertainment and activities that make the evening fun and exciting.

Leadership Midlothian Our annual "training" program.  Citizens of Midlothian who have an interest in becoming involved in their community participate in an 8-month program that introduces them to Midlothian in-depth!  These individuals complete the training with knowledge about our education system, local industry, legal system, and health care system ... to name only a few areas.  Most importantly, they gain the knowledge to go "out there" and make a difference.

Fall Festival

Held the 3rd Saturday of October, the Fall Festival, 5K Run, and Scarecrow contest attracts large crowds from all over the state.  The Fall Festival is a fun-filled Saturday featuring up to 200 booths with arts & crafts, artists, food vendors and children's activities.

Scarecrow Contest Held each year in downtown Midlothian's Heritage Park, local businesses, schools, clubs, organizations, and individual families create a scarecrow in accordance with the annual theme.

Texas Recycles Day Join us as we recycle for a GREAT cause on November 15, 2006.  Midlothian will join thousands of people around this great state as we celebrate Texas Recycles Day.  For more information on the statewide recycling program, visit www.texasrecyclesday.org.  This year, the Chamber is sponsoring Teachers Treasures Warehouse, an event where area teachers can "shop" for classroom needs from items that have been donated by local residents and businesses.  Check back here shortly for more information on local activities that you can join.

Holiday Light Up Parade

Join the festivities as Midlothian lights up for the holiday season on the first Monday evening of December.  Parade entries are required to have lighting on their parade units and the convoy lights up each street it travels, as well as the faces of the crowds who come to join in the festivities.
